Debrief Week

Sorry I haven't updated in so long. Last week I came down with the flu...I was in bed for 3 days and am still trying to recover. The DTS came back from outreach this week and it's their last week here; Debrief week! Like I told you before, I was responsible for planning it and now I've been doing my best to run this week. God's grace has been sufficient for me during my illness. It's a pretty busy week for me though.
As far as the high school ministry is going, last week was our last class session for "girls talk" at Maroochy High school. The girls were so sad to say goodbye. I was so blessed to have met these girls and I know this class was very benificial for them. The girls from the begining were really mean to each other and by the last day they were bringing in food to share with each other and they were actually allowing one another to talk without interuption. Praise God!
We will start another "girls talk" class in July, after school holidays! I will finally begin the mentoring program as well. I can't wait! At the breakfast and lunch time programs I've made lots of friends with the students. There is this one particular girl named Brooke whom I've become really close with. Last week she saw my nails were painted and asked me if I would do her's. So I brought my nail polish and after we ate breakfast we sat down and I did her nails on the school bench. She was so excited!
Discipleship Training School UPDATE: **The DTS students graduate on Friday and then it's all over with. It's going to be sad to see them leave after spending 5 months with them, but that's the way it goes here in YWAM. We train them in the word and then open their eyes to missions through outreach, we pray with them and then send them out again. I love this program and am blessed to be a part of it, but man it's hard to not become attached to people! I am going to really embrace these last few days while they are still here.
please pray for:
- my health
- That I will take every opportunity to be God's hands and feet
- for the DTS that will be going home (that their re-entry will be easy and that they will continue to press into God when they are home.)
- for continual support and protection while I'm here in Australia
Thank you guys once again. I love you! Hope your summer is getting warmer and warmer.....don't worry, I'm staying warm too (under a sweatshirt and a blanket)...WINTER HAS FINALLY ARRIVED IN AUSTRALIA!
one more picture of my friend and I dressed up and ready to paint the town red! :) hahaha I love when I get to wear a dress! :)
