WORTHY WOMEN

WORTHY WOMEN WAS A SUCCESS!
Saturday night August 18th the dream and vision of a few of us YWAM girls came true! It all started one night as all of us girls were talking about how the world tries to define us as woman. How we are all forced to look like the models in the magazine. How most girls/women find it hard to see themselves the way the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE sees us. We brainstormed a few ideas and came up with "worthy woman". This was a night where we invited all the girls of the Sunshine Coast that we knew of to come and celebrate our beauty. To stand confidently in the truth that we are loved by God, we are chosen, we give God butterflies when he looks as us. He says we are fearfully and wonderfully made and there is NO FLAW IN US! We were created in his perfect image.
40 girls showed up after we prayed for days that the Lord would give us favor.
15 of these girls were from"Mercy Ministry" (an organization that helps girls who struggle with eating disorders and depression). A lot of them are girls that I mentor at the high schools every week.

We had desserts (even a chocolate fountain), hair, make=up and nails stations where each girl could go to recieve a pamper treatment. There were door prizes that were given away at the end of the night ( a few hundred dollars of product was donated by the salons in the area).

At the end of the night the girls I mentor came up to me just glowing and beaming with excitment. They told me how beautiful they felt and how accepted and loved they felt there. They were excited to plug into a few of the other ministries we have in ywam too. They are going to start dancing with the Christian dance team and go to Skate Church every friday afternoon. They wanted to get more involved with church.

All of us girls thanked and praised God for allowing us to do this and for bringing those precious girls to the event. I know our God is a persuer of our hearts....he loves us and desires us!
WE ARE WORTHY WOMEN!

**we plan to make this a yearly event..maybe even 2 times a year!
